Naruto MMORPG to Debut in the Western World:
Oasis Games declares the western release of Chinese MMORPG Naruto Online, based on the manga and anime series, will be available for PC.
And luckily for Naruto buffs that are western, publisher Oasis Games isn’t making them wait considerably more, as Naruto Online is scheduled to establish itself outside China the 24th of July.
Not unlike other anime video games, Naruto Online will keep following the source story closely. This title’s storyline will take the player throughout major Naruto story arcs, with voice actors from the anime returning to reprise their roles. Some of the most identifiable locations from the anime may also be on hand for fanatics to scout to their heart’s content, though they are going to be doing so as entirely new characters, as opposed to already established ones.
Five new characters will be available to pick from, each with a unique fighting style. Naruto Online‘s system is different than in the Ultimate Ninja games in that it is move-based instead of a fighting game. The turn-based action exists so players will be able to recruit popular characters to their own team, and as many RPGs, you can have a party – with famous characters – for example, Sakura, Kakashi, Naruto, and more.
People can play Naruto Online together in shared Boss battles, which will require players to work together to get the better of them for special benefits, besides going through dungeons collectively.
Instead of 3D character models and locations, the game mainly uses a 2D artwork that is reminiscent of games like RagnarokNaruto Online. This look can prove to be a hindrance for the western market.
But if enough gamers show fascination with Naruto Online, Naruto permit holder Bandai Namco and maybe Oasis Games will be convinced to pursue other online-centric games in the franchise. Possibly a Naruto online game in the vein of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse game could be in the cards and even a full-fledged Naruto MMORPG with a bigger budget. In the meantime, fans will need to see if Naruto Online is up their alley.
